This makes for extremely easy song searching. Music can be found by a variety of methods such as keyword, artist, and genre. You may preview songs with 30 second clips as well. The free software works for both Mac and Windows users and you do not need to own an iPod to use the downloaded music. iTunes has over 1 million tracks and songs cost $.99 each per download.

Cons: Selection not as large as iTunes Review Summary Rhapsody is extremely consumer friendly and offers a database that is easily searchable. The Rhapsody database at 700,000 songs is not quite as large as the 1 Million iTunes database but that still is a large selection of songs. Rhapsody offers a subscription plan at $9.99 per month that gives access to all songs but you still must pay $.79 per track. 30 second previews of songs are available even if you are not a paid subscriber. Rhapsody, like iTunes requires a free software download to operate.
