Books are one of the first categories of products to be sold online and the Internet remains a great place to find buy books. The category is now mostly dominated by giant stores but that is not necessarily a bad thing, the larger stores usually have the wider selection.

Pros: Wide selection, easy-to-navigate site, great pricing
Cons: Support could be better

Review Summary

Barnesandnoble.com is a wonderful site to search for and purchase both new and used books. BN does sell other items such as music and DVD's but the site remains primarily a book store. BN even offers books in Spanish and that are out-of-print. The book browser tool is an easy and intuitive way to browse for books when you don't have a specific title in mind. Shipping is fast and pricing is very competitive.

Pros: Great pricing, good selection
Cons: Interface not as polished as some

Review Summary

The BooksAMillion site offers the best pricing we have seen. Their interface can use a little polishing but if you know the title you are looking for then the BAMM.com site is among the best around. They also have a bargain book section with even lower prices...as much as 80% off. The Millionaire's club which is $10 annually gives an additional 10% off which if you are an avid reader will be recouped in savings on your first order.
